HISTORY
Tsakanika Estate was founded by Ioannis and Aikaterini Tsakanika in 1979. With only 10 acres of Roditis cultivation and tanks, the capacity of which did not exceed 30.000 liters, the founders of the Estate managed, within short time, mainly through large partnerships, to create a rapidly growing model unit for the Greek standards.
Today, the Estate is managed by the second generation of the family, namely Ilias and Evangelos Tsakanikas. Crops with contracting producers now extend to 2.500 acres, while the capacity of the tanks reaches 3.000.000 liters. Throughout the production process, from the vineyard to bottling, modern techniques apply with the help of high technology, while the highly qualified staff ensures the smooth performance of each step offering the excellent quality of the Estate’s wines.
WINERY
The ultramodern winery consists of the production area, the aging area of red and white wines, the bottling area, the bottles storage room, as well as the tasting room. In the specially designed production area, stainless materials and wood are dominant. The Estate’s Winery is equipped with the latest equipment that ensures the perfect wine-making process. The bottling area houses an ultramodern unit, which ensures the perfect maintenance of taste and aroma of the Estate’s wines. Bottled wines are stored in a specially designed room with a constant temperature environment before being placed on the market. Finally, in the tasting room, which is always open and welcoming to partners and persons who love fine wine, you can taste the wines and gain a unique experience while talking to the people of the Estate who are always eager to share their knowledge and passion for good wine.

VIOGNIER "OAK FERMED"
Tasting characteristics: Light golden color with exotic intensity of floral aromas, great complexity and presence of ripe peach and apricot. The aromas of French oak are perfectly integrated composing a rich and creamy bouquet of vanilla aromas with a very long aftertaste.
